FAMILY CAMP - 12TH - 14TH SEPTEMBER AT TAW BOTTOM
We will be having a family camp at Taw Bottom (near South Tawton) again this year.
Taw Bottom is a site owned by the guides, which is purpose built for camping and
includes kitchen, showers and toilets, indoor areas, undercover eating areas, a
campfire, woods and a stream. Beavers and Cubs can only camp as part of a family
and parents will be responsible for their children at all times although the Scout
Leaders will be arranging optional activities for everyone to join in with - competitions,
craft activities, treasure hunts, games etc.
Last year we had around 16 families and it was a great weekend. We will
camp from Friday evening until Sunday lunchtime although as with last year, we hope
to be able to set up the tents on Thursday evening if people want to. Food
will be provided and we expect the total cost to be around £15 per person (under
5's free). Can you please complete the form attached to the June 2008 newsletter
to say if you are likely to come and if so, how many of you there will
be. A deposit of £5 per person would be appreciated.
